Due to the recent rulings which may persuade buyer’s agent / co-brokerage compensation information to be removed from MLS systems, information which was only available to licensed real estate agents and members of those systems; in addition to our understanding that laws have not been written to make the practice of offering to pay a buyer’s agent / co-brokerage compensation an illegal practice, we at Transaction LLC have decided to offer a service wherein listing agents and private sellers may publicly share if they are willing to offer buyer’s agent compensation through OfferCommission.com. The website and backend services are currently in development.
OfferCommission.com will provide the following services:
- Democratize real estate information through publicizing offers to pay buyer’s agent compensation, making this information available outside of systems historically only accessible to licensed real estate agents such as MLS.
- Home Sellers (private individuals) and/or Real Estate Agents (licensed professionals) will be able to list through OfferCommission.com if they are willing to pay a buyer’s agent compensation for the sale of a given property. This information will be propagated and publicly available through both the OfferCommission.com website as well as through text-autoresponders available for a service fee.
- Home Buyers (private individuals) and/or Real Estate Agents (licensed professionals) will be able to visit OfferCommission.com to search if a specific property is offering to pay a buyer’s agent compensation, or if the text-autoresponder service is engaged, shall be able to submit an SMS text code to receive such information back via SMS text.
